“At first glance it seems incriminating and, maybe, a little bit stupid.
On April 18 this year, Gerard Baden-Clay Googled “taking the fifth” and “self incrimination”.
Two days later he would report his wife, Allison, missing a few minutes after Googling self incrimination again. Two months later he would be charged with her murder and his Google searches used in a brief of evidence by the crown that indicated his guilt.

Mr Davis also argued forensic examination of the phone showed when Mr Baden-Clay Googled “self incrimination” on April 20, minutes before he dialled triple-0 to report her missing, he only accessed the page for three seconds.
His explanation was Mr Baden-Clay did not Google “self incrimination” that morning but the webpage “simply re-loaded”.”

Millie, I think that second google search has been discounted as a simple ‘reload’.
Calling the insurance company prior to his wife’s death though? So many details to explain away, how can one man keep on top of it all? The mind must be in constant turmoil.
