I was referring specifically to NLP because personal development is a very loose term indeed. For anyone to operate in the personal development area the do not need any qualifications. This should be addressed because so many lives have been damaged by self titled experts who operate in that industry. Do some research and you’ll discover just how incestuous the industry is. They use scaremongering to cause people to do stupid things like throw caution to the wind, quit your day job and do what you really want to do and the money will just come. That sort of thing. I’ve seen it and i’ve experienced it. I know it goes on and I know the people doing it belittle those who object or question anything. And then as a way to cover things up they attempt to use NLP on people to steer them away from whats really going on.
