Oh Dear Reason. Wouldn’t it be loverly, loverly, loverly, if we could count on rhyme and reason. History, and recent history at that, advises that we cannot, and I repeat, cannot, rely upon honesty, integrity and common sense in this case concerning one Gerard Baden-Clay, by either the man himself, his immediate family, nor even more worryingly, government officials with whom he is connected. Just as icing might be to a cake, the most profoundly disturbing coating is that poor behaviour, unreliability and dishonesty seems to spread like a virus through many of those whom we should be able to place our faith.
Crooks, self-serving, conmen and women seem to float to the top, just like poop.
PS… I haven’t seen a post for a couple of weeks, if not more, and wondered where everyone had gone, so it was great to see that the fish are still nibbling.
I too have wondered about the purpose of long waits in between court proceedings. I wasn’t sure whether it was due to inefficiency, allowed time for concoction of crappola and recockulous theories, etc. But then I had a thought, which I found quite comforting, and that was that the suspected killer is still locked up behind barbed-wire without any of the fringe-benefits or friends with benefits to comfort him down the lane-way. I wonder whether it is a torturous experience, or whether the way the mind of a killer works, allows for these times and they deal with it capably, unlike others might. Just wondering.
I am just wondering about the girls also, who might, just might, begin to feel a little bit safe, and then whammo, it will all be splashed around the place again when the trial comes, d r a g g i n n ngggggggggggggggg our their pain in another way. I do realise that they are sheltered as well as is humanly possible, however they are human beings after all and one of them touching the teen years and most likely well aware of happenings. Do the younger ones just mourn the loss of their parents without the knowledge? I send them peace.
