Dear Queensland Country Lady.
Lets not get all soppy, and leave that for when this tragedy is finally seen as reaching some sort of justice and a murderer gets his/her just desserts……however I want to say:
You, whoever you are Queensland Country Lady, are the one poster who keeps me coming back to this site. If we were children and I saw you, heard you, watched you (bugger, I sound like a stalker!), at school and in the playground, I think I would gravitate towards you and hope I was worthy of your friendship.
I like your balance, your rational view of the world, perhaps even when you aren’t feeling rational, your ‘team player’ attitude, your empathy, compassion and sensibility. If we were in the adult world, and I had the opportunity, I would like you as a team member.
For many reasons, since the day Allison disappeared (I was going to say ‘went missing’, however she was never really missing because some people did know where she was), I have felt a little ill, on her behalf, and others.
I have become an observer, rather than an active participant and if you, QCL were no longer a poster, I would no longer be an observer.
Whoever you are, and for whatever reason you continue to take the time to post, I appreciate it.
Funny thing happened last week where I saw a flash vehicle with a personalised plate…..GBC…and believe it or not, the accompanying numbers were 21! I had to take a peek at the driver to confirm I was awake and not dreaming. As many strange circumstances surround this awful, awful, God-damn-terrible situation with the loss of a life, and real life sometimes described as ‘fact being stranger than fiction’, I wondered if I had been out of town too long, and things were ‘business as usual’.
Once again, thank you for kind of being the cog in the wheel, or captain of the ship who keeps this forum on course, the crew buoyant without wanting to (was going to automatically use the terminology ‘kill each other’), hurt each other through difference of opinion, frustration, etc and your feeds to keep observers interested and revisiting.
More of ‘you’ in the world would make it a more harmonious place.
