I saw that as the headline in todays Courier Mail.

Apparently he’s supposed to find a better class of friend in the States Sex Offender Prison. Talk about laugh. Another Courier Mail journalistic masterpiece.

They have stuff in common – both how it feels to drain the life out of a person you are supposed to care about, how to lie through their teeth with a straight face, they hate having been caught out, and both would very much would like to get off with their murders. So lots to talk about.

I have to side with BR on this one. It was the money or fear of what a divorce would do to HIS public image/finances. Nothing more, nothing less. I fear the State’s case will be a bit weak in that regard. You all KNOW how passionate I am about this case but even in court, I felt at times the Prosecution was just barking up the wrong tree motive-wise. TMH was just another pawn. A means to an end. An amusement. God, it frustrates me no end that legally it has come to this 😤😤😤

I agree, they’d both be protesting their innocence and would be willing supports for each other. If they didn’t offer some support for each other the friendship would just naturally die off.

I think the main reason for the friendship is that they’re similar ages with similar intellect and neither are Sex Offenders. Does the C-M suggest that GBC should defriend SICA and strike up a friendship with the ‘Bone Crusher’ who’s also at Wolston? A nic name not from any tough encounters, but from the sound a 5 yr olds hips make during penetration. THAT would be worth writing about.

And another violent attacker rapist who has nearly killed a female backpacker victim in a frenzied attack, of attempted murder, has just been arrested by police on a beach in South Australia. Reports say this violent offender has been known to police for hanging around this area for years. So how many other victims has this creep already attacked or even before
There is no end to the sadistic horrible crime of late occurring all over Australia.
Its time both the death penalty and or Never to be Released was handed out to these types of heinous offences. But the judiciary just isn’t interested in being harsh on these types of criminal today. It’s just not good enough on their part. Its not even safe in our houses, with a growing number of violent robberies during home invasions. If it means building more Maximum Security Prisons to enable giving the growing number of violent criminals a indefinite sentence. Then they have to be built, because, giving them a few years at best, is nothing less than letting a mad dog out of the pound, after it has attacked someone. Thus the wild animal is permanently put down.
And the same should be for the predatory violent criminals, not just a slap on the wrist and a get out of jail free card. Then go on and attack, rape and murder more innocent people.
I so fed up with our unaccountable Judges and Magistrates, because their the ones, handing out the soft sentences.
I just don’t know what head space they are living in, as violence and murder is happening more than ever these days, but the judiciary are just not interested in the communities concerns for tough justice. At least the judge back in the Anita Cobby trial stamped the rapist killers, ‘NEVER TO BE RELEASED’. That is a dirty word in todays soft on sentencing Judges and Magistrates.
But as they are in a non accountable world of their own, nothing ever is going to change, while the violent predatory criminals keep creating more and more victims of crime, thanks to the justices not handing out maximum sentences.

:Victoria prisoners not getting parole. – Yahoo!7 News —
More Victorian prisoners are finishing their full sentences, meaning they can’t be supervised after they are released.
Hundreds of Victorian prisoners are being released into the community without supervision after changes to the parole laws.
Since parole was restricted in 2013, the number of prisoners released at the end if their sentence without the possibility of authorities keeping an eye on them has skyrocketed from 160 inmates in 2012-13 to 620 freed inmates not on parole in 2014-15.

Acting Auditor- General Peter Frost said prisoners who don’t do parole can’t get parole officer supervision or ordered to do community-based programs upon release.

:Visitors slipping drugs into Victoria’s prisons. – Yahoo!7 News —
Pills under the tongue or a packet of meth in a bra – Its easy to get drugs inside a Victorian Prison.

A former inmate who doesn’t what to be identified, tells that he was regularly delivered drugs by a visitor behind bars.
On one occasion, his visitor had a packet concealed under her tongue, which was deposited in the prisoner’s mouth with a kiss.

Another time the same visitor had a pouch of drugs hidden in her bra, which she dropped into a packet of chips for him to eat.

On both occasions he says he ingested the packet of drugs and collected it later from the prison toilet.

A Department of Justice and Regulation ‘Corrections Victoria’ spokesperson said “visitors will go to great lengths to smuggle drugs into prisons”.

There were 52,869 searches of visitors and their vehicles in 2014 – 2015, which included pat -downs , strip searches and vehicle searches, the department says.

“Corrections Victoria takes a zero tolerance approach to illicit drug use in the prison system and is constantly reviewing how it detects contraband,” the spokesperson said.

The state’s prisons use a swathe of drug detection methods, including dogs, searches and advanced ion scanners, which can pick up micro specks of drugs on visitors.

Yet drugs, mobile phones and other contraband still slip through the bars.

A 2013 auditor general’s report into drugs in prisons said: “completely eliminating prohibited drugs from entering prisons is unrealistic”, with a harm minimisation the only real solution.

Any visitors caught with drugs or contraband are banned from prisons and referred to Victoria Police.

“LONGER TERM FOR BASHING JAIL GUARDS”
CRIMINALS who violently attack prison guards and police custody officers will cop an extra five years in jail, under tough new state laws.
The move to protect guards come after increasingly violent assaults behind bars.

In October 2015, four Prison Officers were admitted to hospital after two inmates launched an unprovoked attack in the Barwon Prison exercise yard.

The new legislation also follows Victoria’s worst prison riot in July last year, which saw 400 inmates run wild at the Metropolitan Remand Centre in Ravenhall.

Attorney-General Martin Pakula said tougher sentencing would help protect the Victorians who guarded the ‘worst of the worst’. He added: “Custodial Officers … are entitled to a safe working environment. This Bill sends a clear message that assaulting a Custodial Officer is unacceptable,
and that doing so will result in serious consequences,”

Community and Public Sector Union State Secretary Karen Batt said:
“We are ending the days of Prison Officers being used as punching bags”.

Its a heartfelt idea good on Derryn theres a real man that cares. I recall there was a march for Jill Meagher too but the parole board and corrections officers and the other do gooders responsible have made more mistakes since. If this is the way of our country and they continue to release these pathetic bastards it really is up to us the public to focus on being guarded and street wise.Dont get sucked in. Wakeup and get smarter about predators. I hope this march will make a difference.

Thanks for that link, Serendipity. Very interesting indeed. Looks like this fellow spent some time in H.Division. I only wish I could get a digital copy of the 1987 ‘Out of – Out of Mind ‘ – ‘From the Inside’ – ‘Going Straight’ and “The Big House’ and ‘Nobody’s Children’ a excellent Highly awarded special 4 part -198mins ABC series filmed over 10 years on Australian Maximum Security Prisons- such as Grafton, Bathurst, Long Bay, Katingal, Jika Jika and H.Division High Security Unit Gaols , 2x90mins, by film maker David Goldie and Max Phipps and Writer Jim Downes.
I think the people on here at Aussie Criminals would probably be interested to see it.
I have it still on video cassette when I taped it from the ABC TV, back in 1987… It would be good to see it put on YouTube for all to see. It is one of the very best documentaries on the old Australian prison system, prior to 1990, with interviews by real prisoners and Prison Officers explaining prison as it was in those days, before the modern new correctional facilities closed them all down and took over these old gaols.
Also another good film was a two part series made by the ABC TV , On a program back in the 70’s, called ‘Checkerboard’ in 1973, in a series called ‘Doing Time’. A Documentary on Her Majesties Prison Pentridge. It had interviews with Pentridge Prison Officers of the 1970’s and some very notorious famous prisoners of the time, like Christopher Dale Flannery, Stanley Brian Taylor, William O’Meally, Harold Peckman, Paul Hetzel and others.
It is now unobtainable. Except for maybe in the ABC archives. I accidentally erased my old video copy.
And THE 1977 ‘Beyond Reasonable Doubt’ – series includes The Ronald Ryan case. Covering Ryan’s escape from Pentridge Prison and the subsequent death of a prison warder and the legal proceedings which followed Ryans capture. – There a snippet sample of this film only on YouTube. It cost $385 to purchase from the ABC.
Out of Mind-Out of Sight can still be purchased for about $275 from ABC Commercial Library Sales online. http://www.screenaustralia.gov.au But I don’t know why they make so expensive to obtain. I guess that is why it will never be on YouTube?…

Russell Cox was in H.Division Pentridge in 1989, after he was captured doing the brazen armed robbery with another Armed Robber Ray Denning at Doncaster shopping centre. He used to get non physical contact visits, called box visits, in H.Division by the former nurse, Helen Deane. He was watched very closely after his 11 year on the run. which is why he was held in the secure confines of H.Division as a potential escapeoligist after his history escaping frim Katingal in Long Bay Gaol. He was also good mates with Chopper Read in H.Division. Mark Read was the H.Division Billet, supposedly trusted to be the (Cleaner and served the prisoners meals) in the scullery (H.Div. Kitchen) with another prisoner Frankie Waghorn, which was a privileged job in a shithole High Security Unit like H.Division were most of the time the worst of the worst in Pentridge were housed on lock up for many different security reasons. Chopper and Russell Cox used to prepare food in H.Div. I remember them both being polite towards the Prison Officers and well behaved down there. But they had nothing more to prove, as they were the old school toughened prisoners. But as a screw we still watched them very closely, on their past violent records. But Russell Cox, became a model prisoner, behaved himself, keep out of prison trouble and incidents . And he at the time in the 1990’s had many more years of prison to serve. The Armed Robbers in Pentridge mostly had respect amongst the other prisoners and the screws, as the Armed Robbers, the hold up men, were the elite in the criminal world. But some of the toughest Armed Robbers got involved in the up and coming drug trafficking and the notorious career armed robbers like Rodney Collins (The Duke) were also hitmen. Russell Cox became a hitman when he was on the run and shot a friend of his the notorious Melbourne underworld famous Painter and Docker and alleged one of the Great Bookie Armed Robbers Ian Revell Carroll who also spent hard time in the 1960’s and 1970’s bash house of H.Divison. Some of the Armed Robbers who served time in H.Divison have reformed like Russell Cox, Peter Lawless and others have been knocked off or died in gruesome circumstances from there notorious criminal professions like Victor Pierce, Jedd Houghton, Graeme Jenson, Gary Abdullah, Frank Valastro, Aubrey Broughill, just to name a few.
And some are still serving time in her majesties with many more years in prison. like Rodney Collins, now for life, while some are out of jail free again, and should not be, like former troublesome H.Division inmate Peter David McEvoy a career Armed Robber but also the trigger man with Jedd Houghton and Victor Pierce in the Walsh Street Police constables Murder of Steven Tynan and Damien Eyre. Peter David Mc Evoy and Graeme Jenson were part of a dangerous gang of violent armed robber from The Flemington crew, but got away with police murder. So compared to these scumbags, Russell Cox is a gentleman. And well and truly served is time, compared to some other Armed Robbers who reoffended and even later murdered.

See how long you can listen to this noise music, because as Prison Officers, this is what used to come from the cells after lock up from the crims tape players. This kind of shit punk music was played and liked by these kinds of criminals, they used to play the likes of this crap music
in there high security cells and probably still do today!… I notice Sean Christian Price also listens to similar sounding hard core music in his YouTube postings… That says it all about his mentality or state of mind in and out of prison, before his horrible murder was committed.

I found it interesting as being NSW I knew of most of them. There were a few things that did surprise me.

I never knew that Munday was convicted for killing his fellow prisoner. I remember when it happened – 3 men were named & I knew one of them but he was released & I never knew the outcome.

Back in the ’80s they had something called “Scared Straight” (I think). They would take young offenders into jail & let the inmates talk to them. They showed it TV & I would like to see it again.

Cheers Reagan, no change, I almost wrote a book on here anyway and I will leave that for the crims,. Anyway its way far to dangerous for my liking, as some of my former colleagues are still in very high ranks within Corrections Victoria and I am still well known about the traps as a whistleblower and hated by very powerful criminals especially who are still inside prison or recently out of prison. That is why I have to watch my back, still to this day, as I still get verbally abused in the street, have already been viciously assaulted on two occasions, in 2009 and 2014 by very dangerous violent criminals, out to make a name for themselves, by smashing a ex screw. One did a very short prison stint for the gang assault on me, but the 10 others that help bash and kick me did not ever get charged. And I suspect Corrupt Victoria Police and Corrections Victoria past and serving internal investigators destroyed my career in 1995 as a Prison Officer with a big smile on their faces, because I rocked the boat to much, which was unbeknown to me at the time, in the middle of the Melbourne Gangland Wars when corrupt police and untouchable criminals were at their most powerful… Also I suspect they are still monitoring me, especially if they are reading my posts on Aussie Criminals, which I bet they do. So writing a book would not be a wise move for me and any publicity that a autobiography brings, is not what I need, so I prefer keep a low profile and partially anonymous, as I am well known in Police, Prison and Criminal circles, as the lowest of the low, in other words I’m what is called a fucking DOG!… And their probably right, as a whistleblower never retires fully.
And criminals just out jail in my town avoid me like the Dog, they have branded me. I dare not enter a pub or night club as I would be set upon by crims out to make a name for themselves. And the coppers would look the other way, because they hate me also. You see crims are despised and hated like Adrian Bayley, Peter Dupas, Steven Hunter for example, and I dealt with them all as a screw, but so too are former Prison Officers and Police hated. Some crims are labelled dogs and so am I, a dog, because I wouldn’t go with the flow and look the other way. I was such a idiot, as other Prison Officers used to call me to my face and behind my back. And I am paying dearly for this stupidity of trying to expose drugs, escapes and gather intelligence in jail. My biggest mistakes some 26 years after I thought I was good at being one of Her Majesties Prison Officers in a Maximum Security Prison. I was a idiot, I should have looked the other way, but I chose not too, and now I am a low life informer dog for life. But I don’t care, when I see the corrupt arsehole and heinous crims I once knew go back into the slammer for many years to life, I sleep well knowing, I once was doing the right thing, even if only I thought so at the time, without the backing of my fellow Prison Officers at the time, by sticking my neck out, and What comes around, goes around. KARMA in the end!… but now I’m a prisoner who has to remain isolated from the night time social life, I can’t mix among people safely because of my past. I am in a exiled kind of protection prison. And dare not be seen or nix with certain people for my own safety. The truth of the matter as I have ben advised by a councillor, is I was never in the first place, cut out for such a tough job as a copper or screw, and I have to agree with them, because they are right.I wasn’t the right stuff, I was way out off my league mixing and supervising with dangerous criminals and also working in the then elements of corruption in the Victorian Prison Service. And I would not have lasted long in the Police Force for that matter either with out burning out. So I will just stick to some safe social media true crime writing on here, on some of my past experiences of Pentridge and notorious criminals, that were locked up in Pentridge and other jails in the 1990’s, which keeps me off and away from the dangerous streets at night, where crazy thug arseholes are just looking for a fight.
