Did your say she was in H.Division , how long for, what years, also Can you tell me was Karen Lindstrom, – when she was at Port Phillip Prison still wearing the Government blue Victorian Prison Service uniform, as a Governor or what was her rank then and was she wearing a Privatised Prison Uniform, like Serco or G4S Security. How long was she at Port Phillip. I not sure if she is still in the Prison System or retired. Sounds like she should be doing time as a inmate at Deer Park Women’s Prison, if she was in charge of these brutal bashings at Port Phillip Prison slot!… What was the name of the unit or walkway area to the slot called Blood Alley, where the blood could be seen . Which was Sirius West and what was the slot unit called. This place sounds far worse than H.Division was, especially for modern times in the 2000’s. I don’t know what to say, except this is shocking, and all involved should be locked up in H.M. Barwon Prison themselves as inmates for this unacceptable violent criminal activity in a Victorian Maximum Security Prison. Karen Lindstrom seems to have gotten away with this big time!.. I was always very wary and suspicious of her style, with her other Senior Prison Officers of operations in B.Division Pentridge when she was my Chief Prison Officer, she was a real butch type of woman, like to throw her wait around, like she was really important and smart!.. acted like she was as honest as an anti drugs and by thee book?… I know she didn’t like me!… Also was her pet, dog- Ron Gobbet working at Port Phillip Prison, or Fulham Prison. and how many other former Pentridge screws, from your time, can your recall that were now working at Port Phillip, and if there were ,or was was any of them H.Division or B.Division Screws – P.O’s , Seniors, Chiefs or even Governors.
After I left the Victorian Prison Service, I later worked at a abattoir meat works, two particular former Port Phillip prisoners that I worked with, were the Yannopoulis Brother, you may know them from PPP,they were both fairly tough blokes to work, with, and I had a run in with one of these Yannopoulis Brothers, who were not that fond of me knowing I was a former Pentridge screw, but Yannopoulis and I went toe to toe one day, he waved a big razor sharp butchers boning knife at me, and was trying to front me and stand over me, threatening me on the busy boning line as a fucking heavy, and as I don’t take shit from former inmates trying to heavy me, I just lost it on him and said, “I don’t give a fuck if you were locked up in Port Phillip, put the fucking knife away and just back the fuck off and don’t try and be a gangster with me, so put the fucking knife away”. Well I think he was just a bit surprised I stood up to him , he was testing me, I think for a response , but from this day on he showed me some respect, and calmed down towards me over time , with his tough jail wise attitude and even become what I thought was suspiciously friendly towards me. Any way to get to the point, he used to sit with me, as I guess we had something in common to talk about at the meatworks, which was a dead set fucking shit hole to work at. Many ex crims worked here including , drug dealers and filthy rapists all hanging out together and occasionally bluing with each other in the mess hall on meal breaks over shit. One day a bloke brought a hand gun to work and put it in his locker, he was apparently going to shoot one of the bosses, and another bloke walk in to his work place carrying a sword and swung it at a boss. This meat works was a fucked up crazy lunatic asylum, some of the butchers, slaughterman and boners would do the most gross sexual things to the still live pigs just before they were slaughtered and would beat them, chase them around the kill floor, stab them with sharp boning knifes, even sometimes stab each other, it was all so fucked up on the kill floor and boning rooms, some slaughtermen would role in the pigs blood after their throats were freshly cut, drink the blood, it was all so horrible to watch. So much so that I still have cold sweat nightmares and flashbacks of this kill house combined with a mixture of Pentridge H & B. Division in my nightmares. I worked at this abattoir for 15 years, after getting kickerd out of H.M.Loddon Prison in 1995. But I could not be fussy, so I had to do something for a job, with my tainted background , after getting sacked from the Prison Service, so this is all the secure work I could score. It is very hard to get a job after being a ex screw , no one likes or trusts you, so I had to take whatever crap shit job I could get, and work with some complete fucking lowlife arseholes !… Any way back to this former Port Phillip Prisoner Yannopoulis, I don’t know what he was in for, I never bother to ask, but he would tell me all these war stories about how tough Port Phillip Prison was and what prisoners he was hanging out with. His cell mate , he said was some high profile inmate named Kevin Farrugia who was busted in Port Phillip for smuggling in a loaded Derringer pistol, heroin and a mobile phone. Anyway this Former prisoner Yannopoulis not long after was later murdered on the 26 December 2006, when he broke into a rural farm property when he was drunk and on drugs and stole and rode off with a farmers motorcycle . The farmer and bike owner chased him in in a rage his own car and ran him down killing him , when he tried to flee from him. He was still on parole at the time he stole the motor and worked at the abattoir , but the angry owner, I don’t know if he new Yannopoulis or not, but gave him the death sentenced. He was acquitted of the murder charge?

Back in H.M.Pentridge and H.M. Castlemaine and H.M.Loddon as many Prison Officer used to smoke as Inmates. They were chain smokers too, the non smoking prison Officers had to just put up with it and shut up! As l as a non smoker myself, having to constantly breathe in prisoner smoking tailor made rollie tobacco, like White Ox, the inmates favourite rubbed rolly tobacco, and also smoking dope, scag or marijuana in bongs and joints. the smell was unbearable , if a screw or prisoner didn’t smoke. But back then you had to just put up with it. In the 1990’s a few passive smoking court lawsuits made by non-smoker prison Officers that got lung cancer from being locked in and confined with chain smoking Screws and inmates, for years back in my time. One Prison Officer that died before his lawsuit was won, from getting passive smoking Lung Cancer from Pentridge, after years of close confinement with heavy jail smoking exposer , was supposed to have won his court action to sue The then Victorian Office Of Corrections and his family received a substantial payout from the Victorian government. In Victorian Jails, this was the start of the Banning of Smoking in prison cell blocks.
That beast Julian Knight, was a while ago, suing Corrections Victoria to get cheap smokes or tobacco and large bottles of Coca Cola. Not anymore the chain smoking serial killer! Suffer Knight!…

The screws are the ones that will wear it in the end not the crims. There are only so few isolation cells and dozens if not a hundred or more crims that will go the distance when it comes to a riot. Sure in the end the ringleaders will be sort out and removed but others will rise to the challenge and organize another riot or some form of subterfuge to disable and destabilize the system from within.

Your choices were slim to say the least when it came to who you bunked with, Serendipity. The screws paid no mind if you hated the smoke so you roomed with who the y told you to room with.
In later years in the private prisons where two outer cells etc. were the norm you could ask to be placed in with a non-smoker and if one was ok with that you were put in with him providing the two got along.

I said to one standing beside me welcome to Australia. some woman just get power crazy throwing their weight around, looking at her face I see arrogance, she won’t do hard time they look after their own. When I was still a screw, there was this corrupt dumb bitch Prison Officer Heather Parker, help break her notorious lover boy Peter Gibb out of the Melbourne Remand centre. She did a bit of jail, but has been out for years now, but her lover boy crim Peter Gibb is dead now!…These butch type bitches given positions of power in prisons that also often have senior roles in Internal investigations units , investigating other Prison Officers. have screwed up good officers careers in the past, myself being one of them. There often Do-gooders who feel sorry for the crims, and even sometimes fall in love with them!… I was only speaking about one of them last night in the lounge. A Chief Prison Officer , of B.Division in 1989, later on Governor of Pentridge H.Division – Karen Lindstrom, and even later on Promoted to Security Governor of Port Phillip Prison in Melbourne , was one of these powerplay slag bitches , where her power and control went to her head and also she had risen very quickly through the ranks, promotion after promotion, she was loved by Pentridge prison management hierarchy of control, and Internal investigations unit who thought the sun shined out her arse a real leader so to speak. Well not evert Prison Officer believed this and he truth is she was a dangerous brutal bitch , as prisoners who were victims of her brutal methods and wrath of violence on inmates in solitary confinement, will back this up. How she has never been charged for crimes against humanity in a Maximum security Prisons she was in charge of beggars belief . This is how corrupt the Prison system is, that a Senior prison Officer like her can rapidly rise in rank and have the power to organise and inflict the violence on Prisoners with he security group squad, SORT team, like she and others under her command did. This is what was happening in H.M.Pentridge Prison H.Division for years unchecked, and this Female Governor was just as brutal in a Modern Prison Facility in Victoria.
This NSW Corrective services high ranking bitch, cannot be that smart either, as she poured diesel over the gas bottles. As diesel is not easy to ignite with a flame, wouldn’t petrol of been a quicker way to ignite a explosion. She better ask to get locked in with the terrorists in prison, to teach her how to make a improvised explosive device. And show her the difference between diesel and petrol and a gas bottle. 25 years as a screw, what a dumb slag!…She be protected!…
She looks a lot like Bea Smith out of the 1980’s Prisoner. Perhaps in prison now as a inmate, she can use the dry cleaning steam iron press, and become friends with Lizzie Birdsworth!…

Did you know me from B.Division or A.Division, or H.Division as I never was friendly with any Prisoners in Pentodge, In fact I made it my business to kept out of the prisoners way, as they often hung shit on me, especially in B.Division. I just cant work out how you knew me, or who you really are. There are others but there names escape me. My name is neither in the lot I have mentioned or the list you provided. It really does not matter who I am, for all intents and purposes I am an ex-crim expressing my views on a page designed to promote and discussion all things criminal in nature. My life is in no way boring, self-employed, a beautiful wife, daughters I am proud of, in no way is my life lacking to the point I would want to unveil my true identity here or anywhere for public inspection.

My grandfather’s brother is in the NSW ones from the old Darlinghurst Gaol. So is the 16 year old who murdered another family member. He was to be hung for it but when I got a copy of the photo, his record was on it too & his sentence was commuted to life in jail. I haven’t been able to find out what happened to him but I hope he finally did get out & have some chance at a life.

I want to tell you Steve of something Dane said to me some years ago and that was he could not understand why anyone who had been a crown witness in a murder trial that oversaw the conviction of two of the most notorious neo-Nazi killers would want to have a Facebook page filled to the very brim with pictures of her kids, family, where they live, who she is with now etc, etc. Her new bloke even has a page where he has pictures of everyone he knows and his kid with her. There are pictures of the inside of their houses, her family and the family extended from that, all that to him and me for that matter equals insanity!
Dane made it all to clear in court during the trial that he would, upon release, kill those that stood against him, thankfully he has not made good on that ominous promise yet he has every piece of information as given out by the one woman who was his fiancee, who stood against him and should he want to harm her then she has her self to thank and her false sense of security.
The internet is not a friendly place, you’ll not find mates there, sure there will be those that purport friendship yet what counts as a “friend” when you have never met that person? Words are often hollow carrying meaningless narration that serve nothing other than to sate the writer in his/her attempt to inveigle those gullible enough to digest such verbose diarrhea.
Stay true to yourself Steve, you have ventured forth thru the muck and mire that is prison life albeit you wore blue it was still equally as traumatic as any nightmare envisioned by those banged up in a hole in the wall. Who am I….someone like the many others on here that want to hear what you have to say, I want to absorb your stories, I enjoy the company here, Serendipity with her life and the myriad of tales of the past, Reagan with his previous occupation they are all interesting to me as a reader therefore there is no possible reason to know who I am anymore than you would need to know who Serendipity is. I hope this puts an end to the question.
